Research Specialist Speaks to Rural Family Stress and Wellness Work Group
The Rural Family Stress and Wellness work group is a part of Nebraska Extension that works on identifying effective strategies and resources to reduce family stress and promote wellness in rural communities
Quinn Lewandowski, a Research Specialist at the University of Nebraska’s Public Policy Center, spoke to the Rural Family Stress and Wellness work group about the ways Nebraska Medical Reserve Corps (NE MRC) volunteers help out with events, disasters, public health, emergency response, and public outreach. The NE MRC is made up of multiple local units across Nebraska that work to improve the health and safety of their communities in and out of times of disaster. This assistance includes medical support for events, holding a public health clinic, educational talks, and medical aid during disasters.
In addition to NE MRC, Quinn Lewandowski does impactful work across Nebraska with the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency.
