Pursuant to our mission, “Linking policy with research, process, and practice,” Center researchers team with policymakers and other stakeholders to actively inform public policy by bringing expertise in strategic consulting and planning, communications, data collection and analysis, evaluation, events and seminars, facilitations, grant writing, project management, research, and surveys.
The Public Policy Center was established in 1998 by the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska. Although the Center is a University-wide unit, it resides institutionally within the UNL Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In tandem with all contractor requirements, the PPC also conducts research with human subjects under the auspices of UNL Institutional Review Board policies and procedures.
