Teri PerkinsTeri Perkins joined the Public Policy Center in October 2001 as a research specialist. Teri’s research assignments include those for projects relating to rural community success and sustainability (Communities in Transition), comprehensive community initiatives (Community Services Initiative), competitive employment for people with disabilities (Partnering to Reach Integrated Competitive Employment), a pilot project for distribution of United Way funds through a facilitated process (United Way Facilitation Pilot), personal assistance services (Intermediary Service Organizations-Personal Assistance Services), maternal and child health capacity-building models (Maternal and Child Health), and community-university engagement (Water & Community Development).
Teri received her B.S. (1976) and M.S. (1980) degrees in Economics from Colorado State University and her M.A. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1981). Teri’s area of interest while studying in Wisconsin was state and local finance. Working as a research assistant at the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance in Madison from 1983 to 1985 helped her gain experience in the state and local finance area.
