Impact
of Poverty on Family Well-being: Rural and Urban Differences
The Public Policy Center is working with the UNL
Center on Children, Families, and the Law on an archival study
examining rural and urban differences on the impact of of poverty
on family well-being. The data being examined were collected as
part of the National Survey of American Families. The study looks
at the issue of whether families with lower socioeconomic resources
in rural jurisdictions are worse off than those families with lower
socioeconomic resources in urban jurisdictions.
Funding
for this project was provided by the Annie E. Casey Foundation through
the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM).
