Hospital Preparedness – Mental Health Resources for Disaster
This project builds on the Disaster Behavioral Health Planning Project (see Disaster Behavioral Health Planning). It specifically addresses assessment and development of capacity for hospitals, clinics, and public health to handle the psycho-social consequences of a biological or chemical terrorist event. A statewide survey of hospitals and mental health professionals is being prepared to examine the current connections of hospitals to mental health resources in their area.
