City of Lincoln Satisfaction Survey: “Taking Charge”

As part of Mayor Chris Beutler’s continuing Taking Charge initiative, a random sample of Lincolnites were surveyed by telephone in early December of 2009 and then an online survey was offered to residents who were not invited to take the phone survey. The results of the surveys were used to inform city budget decisions that occur in the winter/spring of 2010.

This is the third time the PPC has worked with the City of Lincoln to help assess the attitudes and opinions of Lincolnites in regards to the City’s budget, programs, services, priorities, as well as government agencies and departments. These efforts are part of the City’s broader move toward outcome-based budgeting and performance measurement, processes that tie programs and funding to the goals that citizens want local government to accomplish.
