The 2012 LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Conference will be held May 31 - June 1, 2012 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Frank Campbell, a leading expert in Suicidology along with other experts, will share the lessons learned in years of helping survivors of suicide, how sudden traumatic loss impacts survivors and grief through the different developmental stages.
CLICK HERE TO LEARN MOREThis project developed the technological link between propriety software and existing xml standards to enable resource information sharing (locally and nationally). Tools created by this project enable linking disparate resource databases using the market-leading proprietary software. The project identified and resolved semantic conflicts by developing a codified data format structure, and data conflicts by creating data conversion rules and routines. The solutions created were used in a Nebraska statewide pilot (ne211.org, debuted on February 11, 2005) that leveraged information assets already present in disparate state and local databases maintained by public and private organizations. The pilot will provide evaluative and best practices results regarding improved information and referral access: 1) through a consumer-friendly Internet site; 2) by dialing 2-1-1 in certain parts of the state, and 3) through helping organizations.
