Nebraska Department of Education Career Technical Education Survey

This study aimed to identify perceptions of Nebraska Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs among secondary CTE teachers, math and science teachers, principals, curriculum directors, and superintendents within Nebraska’s public schools. The Nebraska Department of Education was in the process of revising the state standards and curriculum frameworks for career technical education. The results were used to inform the Standards Revision Process for Nebraska CTE programs. This revision process was conducted over four years and resulted in the alignment of the career technical education standards and frameworks to the new Nebraska Career Education Model.
