The 2012 LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Conference will be held May 31 - June 1, 2012 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Frank Campbell, a leading expert in Suicidology along with other experts, will share the lessons learned in years of helping survivors of suicide, how sudden traumatic loss impacts survivors and grief through the different developmental stages.

Lincoln Budget SurveyOn Saturday, May 16, the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center partnered with the Office of Mayor Chris Beutler to host an in-depth discussion about the City of Lincoln’s coming 2009-10 budget. At the event, 111 residents gathered to discuss programs and services that may possibly be eliminated or reduced in the budget currently being finalized. The discussion was preceded by the Taking Charge survey administered earlier. The final report in PDF format is available here.
