Nebraska Public Media to Host Event on Nebraska Mental Health Resources

University of Nebraska Public Policy Center Senior Research Specialist Quinn Lewandowski will be moderating an online event November 17 presented by Nebraska Public Media. Panelists for the event include Dr. Catherine Jones-Hazledine, Dr. Barbara Buttes, and Sami Bradley. Dr. Jones-Hazledine is owner of Western Nebraska Behavioral Health and co-director of the Behavioral Health Education Center of the Nebraska Panhandle Division. Dr. Buttes is an anthropologist, researcher and consultant currently working with the Nebraska Department of Education and school districts serving Native American youth to create stronger systems around mental health and suicide prevention. Sami Bradley is the Associate Vice President Early Childhood Mental Health at the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation and is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner.

This online event explores mental health resources across Nebraska and is inspired by the recent PBS documentary Ken Burns Presents Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness A Film by Erik Ewers & Christopher Loren Ewers.
