Bhagya Pushkaran

Bhagyalakshmi (Bhagya) Pushkaran is an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Mathematics with a minor in Leadership and Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Some of Bhagya’s involvements on campus include being a senator for ASUN Student Government, mentor for NHRI Leadership Development Program, and a member of the UNL Honors Program. She has also worked with local organizations such as Nebraska Appleseed, Bruning Law Group, and the YMCA of Lincoln, Nebraska. Her interests include public policy (specifically education reform and child welfare), social justice, and proof theory. Bhagya plans to graduate in May of 2023 and pursue law school.
