Women's History Month: Liz Green

Staff Spotlight:

In honor of Women's History Month, we want to lift up the voices and victories of women. We asked PPC researchers and staff to share their advice for young women today. During the month of March, we will be sharing their replies. Today, we spoke with Liz Green, our grants and contracts coordinator, who assists researchers with developing and submitting their grant proposals and helps manage awarded funds.

Q&A with Liz Green

  • What advice do you have for young women today?
    Take up space.

  • What is one way your life/work has been impacted by women?
My work has been lifted by so many different women. From my college job on I have had female mentors who have guided me with advice and provided a shoulder to lean on.

  • Can you think of a specific project you have worked on that directly impacts women?
In my previous job I was lucky enough to spend years working on screening projects for cervical cancer and breast cancer. They impacted hundreds of Nebraska women. If you haven’t had your screenings yet, get checked!
