The 2023 Nebraska Disaster Behavioral Health Training is for all behavioral health providers and mental health professionals, psychologists, nurses, emergency managers, disaster responders, public health officials, clergy, and school staff to learn how to prepare and respond to the psychological effects of disaster and mass casualty events.
Continuing Education: This event has been approved for 1.25 continuing education credits for psychologists.
Training Objectives:

Explain how Psychological First Aid for Schools (PFA-S) is utilized throughout the Nebraska School Safety model (prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery).

Explain PFA-S’s role as a component of the school district Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).

Describe PFA-S’s role in the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process.
