Congressman Brad AshfordCongressman Brad Ashford spoke about U.S. foreign policy on Thursday, April 7, 2016. From his position on the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Ashford discussed, among other issues, the current geopolitical state of the Mideast. The Congressman’s remarks come from first-hand knowledge of the region and face-to-face meetings with leaders of several Mideast countries. Rep. Ashford has visited the area three times since he was sworn into Congress in January 2015.

Congressman Brad Ashford represents Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee as well as the House Agriculture Committee. He previously served in the Nebraska Legislature for 16 years. Congressman Ashford is a graduate of Colgate University and Creighton University School of Law.
