Today, we will hear from Research Specialist Elizabeth Gleason, who has experience as a research analyst focusing on safety net and child support policy.

- What advice do you have for young women today?
Find meaningful work and do it well. Always believe that you deserve a place at the table.
- What is one way your life/work has been impacted by women?
I am lucky to have had many female professors, colleagues, and friends who inspire and encourage me to work hard and have faith in my own abilities.
- Can you think of a specific project you have worked on that directly impacts women?
The majority of low-income families I studied when I was working at the University of Maryland were headed by women. Ensuring a robust economic safety net benefits these women and their families.
