Launch of Lincoln Vital Signs Report 2025

In collaboration with the Lincoln Community Foundation and various community partners, the Public Policy Center has published Lincoln Vital Signs 2025, a community resource which uses publicly available data to assess challenges and opportunities facing Lincoln. We gather and analyze data to share in the form of the Lincoln Vital Signs report and website, which includes interactive graphs showing how the Lincoln community is changing over time. The findings of the report inform the Prosper Lincoln focus areas. See the 1011 Now news publication.

Organizations report using the information in Lincoln Vital Signs in a variety of ways. Charitable foundations use the information to help make funding decisions. Non-profits use the information to guide program development and implementation. Lincoln Vital Signs is used by several departments at the City of Lincoln, including:

  • Planning, which uses Vital Signs to inform decisions for the Capital Improvement Program, zoning actions, Tax Increment Financing investments, and neighborhood planning.
  • The Commission on Human Rights has used Vital Signs to help determine how and where to focus their outreach.
  • Lincoln City Libraries relied on Vital Signs for background information during their strategic planning process last year.
  • Parks & Recreation regularly uses Vital Signs to guide planning, assess community needs, and measure impact. The insights on demographic shifts, economic conditions, and public health trends help ensure programs and facilities can serve all residents.
