The intent of NEBHANDS was to coordinate a statewide, federally-funded project to eliminate services barriers, ensure access to care, and maximize resources in the state’s behavioral health care system. The long-term goal was to ensure affordable and accessible behavioral health care to all people in Nebraska through an integrated system that maximizes the potential of the community- and faith-based organization communities.
