Thomas C. Sorensen Seminar: Martin Luther King Week Policy Seminar

-

About:
Jane Elliot is an internationally renowned teacher, lecturer, and diversity trainer who presented this seminar in the City Campus Union. She is famous for her classroom experiment, “Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes.” Invented in response to the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., the experiment exposes participants to the experience of being a minority. The experiment labeled individuals as being inferior or superior solely because of eye color and helped the world to understand the subtle presence of racism and prejudice.
